Lose Weight in 21 Days with HCG Drops Diet Plan

What is the HCG diet plan?

HCG-dropsThe HCG diet was created by a physician who specifically wanted to try to cure obesity in his female patients. He began treating them with human Chronic Gonadotropin or hCG, a hormone by the human body when a woman become pregnant. It is the same hormone that is tested for when conducting a pregnancy test. It is made by the body’s pituitary gland. Since December 2011, the Federal Drug Administration in the United States has said that hCG is no longer allowed to be sold over the counter and online sales are, “technically” both illegal and fraudulent because of this. Nevertheless, many people are still interested in following something called the hCG diet.

The diet works because when you are consuming only e 500 calories, the your body is forced to burn as much as 2000 of the calories it requires in order to function properly each day. It draws those extra 1500 calories from excess fat stores.

The hCG diet is made up of three stages which are:

  1. Loading Stage: loading consists of two days during which the dieter is permitted to eat as many fatty, carbohydrate rich foods as they desire.

  2. Burning Stage: the burning stage lasts anywhere from 26 to 43 consecutive days where the dieter is restricted to a diet of only 500 calories per day, depending on their ultimate weight loss goal and

  3. Maintenance Stage: which entails a 3 weeks period when the dieter consumes only a starch and sugar-free diet

When you are in the loading stage you start taking your hCG drops. While doing so you load your body with the carbohydrates and fat hcg-drops-diet-plan so that your body can begin to gradually adapt to the physical changes made by the hCG.

When you enter the burning stage, you start eating the VLCD otherwise known as the very-low calorie diet and continue to take your daily hCG drops.

Once you have achieved your designated weight loss goal, you move into the maintenance stage. This means that you are prohibited from consuming any sugar and/or starchy food for the next three weeks.

  • Remember to take your hCG drops 3 times a day each day. After that, discontinue your drops for the next 7 days. Then go back to taking your hCG drops 3 times per day.

  • Weigh yourself every single day.

Stage 1: Loading Stage

Don’t worry about the loading stage in terms of loading up on fatty and carbohydrate rich foods. I know it sounds completely counter-intuitive but it is an absolutely crucial part of this diet and if you do not fulfill this stage, the hCG diet will not work for you. So enjoy yourself and let yourself indulge in every single fatty food you love to eat. In fact, have two helpings! It’ll be good for you!

Stage 2: Burning Stage

When you get to the burning stage, carefully decide how much weight you want to lose. Some women are able to lose as much as 30 pounds in their first 25 day cycle. Keep in mind, however, that this will vary from person to person and is dependant on a host of different factors. You must stay in doing the burning phase for a minimum of 21 days and no longer than 42 days. If you reach your weight loss goal before the 21 days period is up, then you can increase your daily caloric intake a bit. If you have not reached your weight loss goals by day 42, you must immediately switch into the maintenance stage regardless. When you have reached the last three days of your burning phase, discontinue your hCG drops but be sure you stay on your hCG meal plan.

Stick with your hCG meal plans for all phases and your weight will eventually drop and you’ll be glad you stuck to it.

While on the hCG diet plan be sure you drink lots of water each day.

Stage 3: Maintenance

hcgOnce you have finished your hCG diet plan you will move on to the maintenance phase. During this time, it is extremely important that you not consume any sugars and/or starchy food. Your body requires this amount of time to stabilize itself. Once you have finished this three week period, you can gradually begin to reintroduce sugars and starchy food back into your normal dieting routine.

Continue to weigh yourself each morning and keep track of your weight. Know that it will fluctuate from day to day. If you find that you have put more than two pounds back on, skip a meal that day. This will help your body regulate your weight and appetite again.

While many people have experienced tremendous success with the hCG diet, many find that being restricted to only 500 calories per day during the burning phase is just too difficult and too restrictive. For that reason alone, many people stray from their diet and they will say that the hCG diet does not work. This is a diet plan that can work very effectively if you follow the meal plans which are found online and take your hCG drops as directed and exercise 3 to 4 times per week. It will be challenging at times, especially when you are in the burning phase but if you stick with it, you will meet your weight loss goals.
